He served as the liaison for the inmate population and the prison administration. While in prison, Mr. Spencer graduated from Jim Browns Amer-I-Can Program and became a facilitator and advocate. Book knowledge and street credibility have made Raymond the voice of reason for the thug and the administrator. Great communication skills coupled with the ability to negotiate on multiple levels, makes Raymond a vital component in todays society.
Raymond also partnered with several community groups, including DaScene, Earl Best; The Street Doctor, The Street Warriors, Ras Baraka and others to address the many injustices that plague The City of Newark, and its residents. Raymond is also affiliated with our local school system by way of partnerships with Louise A. Spencer School and The Giants Academy, East Orange High School(alma mater, 1985), and The Isaiah House; a shelter for teenage girls.
